Human Resource Director

United Methodist Homes, a non-profit mission-based organization has provided a continuum of services to support the health, independence and dignity of seniors for over 140 years.  UMH is in search of a Human Resource Director to administer, coordinate and lead the human resources department which supports our communities. 

Reporting to the President, the successful candidate will be professional, detailed oriented and a team player.  This candidate will have a working knowledge of all aspects of employee relations, including but not limited to wage and benefit administration, workers’ compensation, conflict resolution, staff development, FMLA, OSHA and employee wellness.

This position will require a Bachelor’s Degree plus a minimum of ten years of professional experience in human resources.  The candidate must also have management and staff supervisory experience.  Working knowledge of ADP payroll systems is a plus.

Security Guard

Wesley Village is currently seeking an experienced part time security guard. Responsibilities will include responding effectively to residents’ calls for aide, performing minor maintenance tasks (light bulbs/batteries), making rounds and patrolling the campus to ensure the safety of the residents and staff. Must possess a Guard Card and have a valid CT drivers’ license and clean driving record. Experience and flexibility to work 2nd and 3rd shifts. Certified Nurse’s Aide

Wesley Village, a campus of senior living communities committed to a mission of providing relationship-centered care, is currently seeking experienced CNA’s for our assisted living and memory care neighborhood (Lifestyle Transitions) and our skilled nursing facility (Bishop Wicke Health and Rehabilitation Center) in Shelton.

Qualified candidates will provide and assist residents with individualized care needs and work closely with the interdisciplinary team to support independence, dignity and quality of life. C.N.A staff will be required to encourage our residents to remain as independent as possible and will also be responsible for one-to-one and small group activities.

A High School diploma or equivalent is required as well as a current Connecticut nurse’s aide registration. For our memory care unit, previous experience working with dementia/Alzheimer’s/memory care residents and interest in recreational programming a plus.

Available 16 hour shifts for Memory Care Neighborhood includes every other weekend and holiday rotation. 7 a.m. – 3 p.m.; 3 p.m. – 11 p.m.

.Part-Time Social Worker

Office Manager

Middlewoods of Farmington, an independent and assisted living community is seeking an experienced office manager for its community.  The ideal candidate will support the company operations by maintaining office systems and supervising staff. 

The qualified candidate will act as the central source for coordination of resident’s needs.  This hands on position will be responsible for managing all aspects of the reception desk including greeting visitors and answering phones as well as providing administrative support to the executive director.  Additional responsibilities will include administering new hire paperwork, coordination of training, ordering supplies and scheduling appointments.

Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with all levels of employees, residents, family members, visitors, vendors and members of the community with tact and diplomacy.  Extensive computer literacy including strong MS office skills.  Strong problem solving skills required with superior attention to detail as well as 5+ years of progressive experience including supervisory experience.
