Program Director

 United Methodist Homes, Inc. is a mission driven non-profit organization that has put people over profits since 1874.  We are currently seeking an experienced Director for our Lifestyle Transitions Program on our Wesley Village Campus. Our Lifestyles Transitions Program serves seniors in an assisted living setting who have a need for extra support and services. Wesley Village is a campus caring for 375 residents situated on a 50 acre site. We have plans to grow and offer tremendous career growth potential.

 Our ideal candidate should have experience planning and implementing assisted living and memory care programs. The ideal candidate will enjoy working with seniors and take an active, hands-on role in daily activities. The Director is a management level position that will oversee all aspects of the program, coordinate service to our residents and communicate regularly with their families. The Director will be a vital member of the Wesley Village team, and work with a dedicated support staff of all disciplines. 

 Qualified candidates should possess a B.S. degree in Social Services, Therapeutic Recreation, or a related field in addition to 5+ years of experience working with residents with dementia. Must have the exceptional communication and interpersonal skills and a heart-felt desire to work with seniors in a supportive setting. 

Hours are M-F with the ability to work evenings and weekends on a rotating schedule.

Payroll Specialist

United Methodist Homes, an assisted and independent senior living community, committed to its mission of providing relationship-centered care, is currently seeking an experienced Payroll Specialist to work 32 hours/week.

Our ideal candidate will prepare and maintain payrolls for multiple companies. Will administer all payroll related information including, but not limited to vacation, sick time and workers compensation information.  Will participate in agency audits and complete special projects as needed by the department.

High School diploma required as well as 3+ years of payroll experience; ADP preferred, Workforce Now v12 a plus. Computer literacy and proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word. Knowledge of time keeping software – Time Trax a plus.  Must have the ability to meet time sensitive deadlines, keep work confidential and work and communicate well with others.  Accounting knowledge preferred, mathematical computation skills essential.

Security Guard

Wesley Village is currently seeking an experienced part time security guard. Responsibilities will include responding effectively to residents’ calls for aide, performing minor maintenance tasks (light bulbs/batteries), making rounds and patrolling the campus to ensure the safety of the residents and staff. Certified Nurse’s Aide

Wesley Village, a campus of senior living communities committed to a mission of providing relationship-centered care, is currently seeking experienced CNA’s for our assisted living and memory care neighborhood (Lifestyle Transitions) and our skilled nursing facility (Bishop Wicke Health and Rehabilitation Center) in Shelton.

Qualified candidates will provide and assist residents with individualized care needs and work closely with the interdisciplinary team to support independence, dignity and quality of life. C.N.A staff will be required to encourage our residents to remain as independent as possible and will also be responsible for one-to-one and small group activities.

A High School diploma or equivalent is required as well as a current Connecticut nurse’s aide registration. For our memory care unit, previous experience working with dementia/Alzheimer’s/memory care residents and interest in recreational programming a plus.

Available 16 hour shifts for Memory Care Neighborhood includes every other weekend and holiday rotation. 7 a.m. – 3 p.m.; 3 p.m. – 11 p.m.
