Staff Development/Infection Control Nurse
Foxbridge Assisted Living & Memory Care Community in Memphis, TN has a full time LPN/RN Staff Development/Infection Control nurse position available. Primary responsibilities will include working in conjunction with the Wellness Director on staff training, infection control and quality improvement initiatives. Will serve as back up and support for the Wellness Director and provide leadership and direction in the Nursing Department to ensure delivery of nursing services through educational in-servicing and monitoring of practices of care within all departments. Will lead and create an environment that fosters teamwork in achieving departmental deadlines and goals. Will manage the financial resources and supplies of the Nursing Department for cost-effective delivery of services. Will conduct continuous quality improvement programs for Foxbridge along with the Executive Director and Wellness Director and will serve as the Chairperson for Performance Improvement and Safety Committees.
Requirements include LPN/RN plus 3+ years of general nursing with at least one in memory care. Supervisory experience a plus. Experience with infection control required. Gerontological nursing required. Must be able to work a flexible schedule (some nights and weekends to work with all shifts).
